Shameless Plug For My Wife’s Blog

My wife, January, and I are expecting our fourth child somewhere around the beginning of June. We are very excited about this new addition to our family, be it a boy or a girl. We haven’t found out the sex of the baby yet, nor did we with our third child.

I am explaining this because I wanted to plug January’s blog. We started this blog up around a year and a half ago, but she didn’t post anything for a long while.

Recently, January decided that she had some things to get off her chest, and a blog was her way of doing it. She re-launched her site, which is a blog dedicated to anything and everything related to freedom from mainstream thinking, especially when it comes to childbirth.

Last week January deviated from the childbirth route and explained, from her point of view, Upper Cervical Chiropractic. You can read it here:

Upper Cervical Chiropractic From a Mom’s Perspective

I thought it was a great post, but I am a little biased. Here are a few excerpts:

“I had a mama ask me on a private forum what UC chiropractic really is.  I tend to make recommendations that moms and their kiddos get checked quite often.”

“Upper cervical docs don’t ‘crack or pop’ anything. The body then does what’s called ‘retracing’. The rest of the spine realigns  now that the top two bones have been properly realigned. You know, any complaints someone has about a chiropractor or chiropractic just doesn’t apply to upper cervical care. They stick to what chiropractic started as.”

“You also don’t see patients needing to be adjusted 3 times a week for a year. Most people (depending on the person and situation it can take a different amount of adjustments to start holding) will hold their adjustments for a long period of time. They go in to be checked, but don’t always need an adjustment.”

January frequents several childbirth and parenting forums on a daily basis. She runs across people complaining about their health problems or their children’s health problems all the time.

In the past two weeks alone, January has explained Upper Cervical Chiropractic to ten different women. All ten have inquired about who they should go to in their area. I have helped January locate some Upper Cervical chiropractors in those specific areas, and she has relayed the info. Each woman has committed to seriously looking into Upper Cervical care.

My wife is about as passionate about Upper Cervical Chiropractic as I am. It’s great. I feel blessed beyond words that I am married to her.

I just thought I would share that.
