I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Rhonda Tomasi a little bit at several seminars over the past few months. I have to say it has been a pleasure knowing her and her husband, James Tomasi.

They are wonderful people, having devoted their lives to not only their faith, but Upper Cervical Chiropractic. Rightfully so. Upper Cervical adjustments literally saved her husband’s life. It also changed her life as well.

I am truly grateful Rhonda was able to take some time away from her busy schedule and do an interview for The Atlas of Life.

Brandon: How did you discover Upper Cervical Chiropractic?

Rhonda: “An angel moved the radio dial to a station I did not listen to. I heard a woman talking about her hopeless situation being helped through a little known science within Chiropractic.”

Brandon: How did Upper Cervical Chiropractic change your life?

Rhonda: “Upper Cervical changed my life on many levels. First, it kept me from becoming a widow when James was delivered from his TN pain.

Next, it alleviated chronic pain & inflammation in my fingers from arthritis, took away a chronic cough, and eliminated heavy menstrual cycles I’d suffered with for 12 years.

Our experience under Upper Cervical Care became the vehicle that produced passion for the calling God had for us to be messengers of Upper Cervical Chiropractic.”

Brandon: How long was it before you noticed a lasting change in how you felt?

Rhonda: “Health was progressive for me. Within 2 hours of my first specific correction the pain and swelling in my fingers left.

Within 2 weeks, the continual drainage in my throat stopped and I didn’t cough constantly.

It took 2 years of maintenance care, and moving into a different technique analysis, for my body to absorb the uterine fibroid tumors that caused my female problems. I experienced a normal 3-4 day cycle until I entered menopause. I never had mood swings, night sweats or any disruptive hormonal events when that happened over 5 years ago.

The most recent event happened after experiencing new trauma. I moved to a Grostic instrument technique, and my axis was corrected. My cough has not returned during the 12 months since that correction.

Before, if I ate wheat or got too tired, I would cough involuntarily. I also experienced extreme pain as my crooked toes and fingers straightened out.

Currently, my crooked teeth are still spreading out as my jaw widens. Very interesting, huh?”

Brandon: What has life been like for you and your husband now that you both are subluxation-free and holding your adjustments?

Rhonda: “Life is phenomenal, fulfilling and healthy!

Not only have we met wonderful, committed UC DC’s and passionate patients from every Upper Cervical Chiropractic technique, we’ve spoken to and received thousands of letters from grateful people who regained their health after reading our book, “what Time, Tuesday?” and discovering the Power of Upper Cervical.

We have not taken one medical test or drug since 1997. We’ve never had the flu or been ill since then, either. Other than losing our corrections following trauma a few times, we now hold our corrections and feel healthy while leading active, pain-free lives.”

Brandon: What message can you convey to people who might be suffering from debilitating conditions and haven’t yet tried Upper Cervical Chiropractic?

Rhonda:Upper Cervical Chiropractic is a specific science that corrects an existing imbalance between the head and the body.

Inside the top two bones (C1 C2) is the brainstem or CPU of our body. When these bones are misaligned, the affected nerves send signals to our brain called dis-ease. Once corrected, normal communication is restored, and the symptoms disappear.

Although Upper Cervical is not a 100% cure-all, it is a technique that corrects body imbalance so that the innate life-force within each person can send correct brain to body communication and strengthen the immune system.

These two things restore health in most cases. Holistic alternatives work better when the brainstem impulses are free to relay proper messages about nutrition, detoxification and other therapies to the body.”

Brandon: You are the president of the group Upper Cervical Advocates. Can you tell us about this group’s purpose?

Rhonda:Upper Cervical Advocates was founded to provide education about Upper Cervical Chiropractic. The long term concept is to have a database of advocates who can affect legislation and regulations via letters or physical representation.

It’s debut in 2007 followed a year of communication with Greg Buchanan.

We originally met to discuss the documentary Greg wanted to produce in Australia about Upper Cervical.

On our way over, we stopped to meet with the Barretta’s in LA. Christina Barretta, Dr. Drew Hall’s patient, had experienced an amazing recovery from Fibromyalgia, and also wanted to produce a movie.

After meeting her, Billy and Jeff, we discussed with Greg how the filming could be done at the Evolution with UC DC’s if UCHCA agreed.

After several conference calls with Dr. Ray, Dr. Thad, and Dr. Hall, invitations were extended to UC DC’s planning to attend the Evolution, and the movie was birthed. Greg funded the production and the Barretta’s did a phenomenal job of editing, producing and distributing the movie.

The Power of Upper Cervical” movie elevated the knowledge of Upper Cervical to a higher level.

The website www.UpperCervicalAdvocates.com hosts information, links, testimonials, a link to Greg’s UC DC database, and membership forms and supplies to help advocates reach people in their local communities. We utilize newsletters, live broadcasts and recorded sessions to educate advocates on becoming active in the local community. Some of our topics cover blogging, public speaking, writing E-articles and taking the “what Time, Tuesday?” book and “The Power of Upper Cervical” movie into local venues.

We have scholarship funds donated that help people with care who are strapped financially. We want funds for Ronald McDonald style facilities for people who need longer term care. We envision research centers where patients, advocates and UC DC’s work together in a Research environment.

We appreciate the advocates who volunteer on many levels.”

Brandon: How would you describe your overall role within Upper Cervical Chiropractic?

Rhonda: “God commissioned and called us as marketplace ministers into Upper Cervical. Each visionary step has followed prayer and His guidance.

We started in 2000 for 1.5 years by working on an offering + expenses basis for an organization that markets UC DC’s for a fee. We organized 7 mission trips overseas, and took a 1.5 year sabbatical to pastor a church in 2003.

After realizing our heart was to reach hurting people with Upper Cervical knowledge, we began doing patient dinners in 2004 with UC DC’s, speaking at Chiropractic colleges, civic organizations and UC technique seminars.

We traveled for 2 years with no home, before delivering an invitation from God to Dr. Drury about establishing an umbrella organization to unify Upper Cervical. When he accepted the call to build UCHCA, we relocated to NC as spiritual advisors.

We wear many hats. We work with other advocates, while managing and overseeing two non-profit organizations. We counsel, encourage, pastor and pray with UC DC’s every day. We guide people into UC offices and encourage patients to endure retracing.

Occasionally we send them to a different UC DC when they’ve been under someone who “talks the talk,” but does not have the experience and training to “walk the walk”. We develop marketing materials, write additional books and envision additional ways to take the message of Upper Cervical to the world.

Currently we speak at Universities and Chiropractic seminars, and do movie premiers.

We “fish” on Facebook and blogs for potential patients and a DC who wants to learn UC Care.

We are establishing prayer groups under our ICS ministry to pray for each clinic, and some corporate issues that need intercessory covering. We cannot imagine our life being any more or less busy than it is right now. We desire to hear our Lord say, “Well done, faithful servant,” someday.”

Brandon: What is your vision for the future of Upper Cervical Chiropractic?

Rhonda: “Our vision is for Upper Cervical science to become a recognized health option available to every household. We want the general public to understand an atlas subluxation causes problems in babies and children’s’ health as well as adults.

We want to see:

1.) Research centers producing publishable research data.

2.) Scholarship programs for students of Upper Cervical Chiropractic.

3.) Grants to offset the cost of Upper Cervical Care for jobless people.

4.) A House of Hope for people to stay in when they travel long distances for care.

5.) An assessment establishing qualification requirements for all UC DC techniques so patients know the level of experience a UC DC has.

6.) Upper Cervical Chiropractic degrees made available to graduating students.

7.) Internship programs readily available within successful offices.

8.) Training under master level UC DC’s or in research facilities.

9.) Missionary UC DC’s set-up in foreign countries.

10.) UC DC’s on staff in hospitals, public schools, sports teams, Hospice groups, prisons, jails and insane asylums.

11.) Chiropractors to embrace UC as a specialty and either learn it or refer to a Master UC DC.

12.) Medical professionals to refer to UC DCs.

13.) Upper Cervical preeminence in all sphere’s of authority:

a.) Education – college and public.

b.) Media – News reports, articles, publications, etc.

c.) Sports & Entertainment: Honest representation in movies, TV shows, and from recognized entertainment and sports personalities.

d.) Business/Finance – funding for programs and office establishment; research centers and submission.

e.) Government/Law – changes in laws governing UC Chiropractic, recognition of health advantages, influence in key positions.

f.) Technology – Advances in instrumentation, research tools, Digital analysis availability, as well as research coalitions among techniques.

g.) Religion/Family – recognition of UC Care as the first health care option for families, religious, and civic structure members.”

Wow. Her vision is not only ambitious but very inspiring as well.

Once again, thanks to Rhonda Tomasi for doing this interview, as well as all the many things she and her husband James do for Upper Cervical Chiropractic.
