In the last week, the media has been saturated with the deaths of Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and Billy Mays.
Michael Jackson died last week at the age of 50. His cause of death is still not verified, but a supposed autopsy report has been leaked. It claims that the King of Pop weighed very little, was bald, and had a stomach full of pills.
Farrah Fawcett died last week as well, at the age of 62. She suffered from a rare anal cancer that spread to her liver, though she was declared cancer-free by her doctors three months before.
Billy Mays, of infomercial fame, more specifically Oxyclean, died this weekend as well, also at the age of 50. His cause of death has not yet been verified, but he had hardening of the arteries and a heart weight of >500 grams, which indicates a hypertensive disorder and left ventricular enlargement. He was also on two different painkillers for his hip, which was due to be replaced yesterday.
Not even stars are immune to the effects of dis-ease and stress. they are subject to stressors that we are not accustomed to. Having the papparazzi in their lives constantly, their every move scrutinized, and who knows what else always in the media, the effects their bodies feel can be overwhelming.
Having such busy lifestyles can lead to higher consumption of unhealthy food i.e. fast food. The stress of traveling and performing at the highest level can also take its toll on these people.
While most of us are not movie stars, pop stars, or infomercial stars, we do have our own busy lifestyles with our own stress to worry about. Doing basic things like getting your nervous system checked by an Upper Cervical Chiropractor, eating generous helpings of green leafy vegetables and antioxidant-rich fruits, and exercising at least 20 minutes a day/ 3 days a week are great places to start.
Make sure to avoid the pitfalls these stars stumbled onĀ and get your nervous system checked regularly. Interference of nervous system transmission because of a misalignment of your atlas (C1) and/or axis (C2) can lead to long term health problems, eventually developing into a full-blown disease.
