I’ve had the chance to talk with Dr. Tron Malachowski over the phone a couple of months ago. He was very insightful in the things he had to say and, overall, a really good guy.
For the doctors who receive Dr. Tom Forest’s emails, you know that Dr. Tron is lighting it up out there in South Carolina. People with all sorts of ailments and problems are coming to him and he’s giving them the chance to not just survive, but thrive without nerve interference.
Thanks to Dr. Tron for being able to take time out of his busy schedule and answer some questions for The Atlas of Life.
Brandon: Why did you decide to become a chiropractor?
Dr. Tron: “When I was 13 years old, I thought I was an extreme varsity Gym athlete. I thought my skills were stellar. So while in gym class one day, I reared back and took a flying leap to try and touch the basketball rim. I only touched the net. But while in mid air, I got a searing pain in my low back. It was debilitating. I could barely walk.
My mother brought me to the chiropractor, which was about 45 minutes away. I was there everyday for about 3 months. I was wearing a back brace to school and couldn’t play football, baseball, or do anything. I was in extreme pain when I even tried to spit out my toothpaste. After a few months, the pain began to ease. I was eventually pain free until I was speared in the back playing football. Same problem. But from my recovery, I knew that is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Help people.”
Brandon: How did you discover Upper Cervical Chiropractic?
Dr. Tron: “The first time I was exposed to Upper Cervical Chiropractic was in 4th trimester at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. I had Toggle Class with Dr. Strazewski, or Dr. “Straz” as he is better known. He introduced me to Dr. BJ Palmer’s work and the green books. That was literally the first time I had really been exposed to that kind of information. That’s pretty sad because in 4th trimester, you have already been in the program for a year and have already had several philosophy classes, which goes to show that the Philosophy just isn’t being taught anymore.
I will say Dr. Casey Crisp has begun to bring back some of the much needed Philosophy at Palmer.
Also, I became a member of Delta Sigma Chi, a professional Chiropractic fraternity that has been promoting straight unadulterated chiropractic since 1913. The fraternity is where I truly learned about the Philosophy, Science, and Art of ChiropracTIC. I owe a lot to that fraternity because it helped build my foundation.”
Brandon: Can you describe what it is like to go on a chiropractic mission trip?
Dr. Tron: “WOW. That’s a great question Brandon. I will be going on my second mission trip this January.
However, my first experience was in Honduras in 2007 as a student. I was one of two students, the other being my good friend Dr. Kevin Leach, selected from all the chiropractic students across the country, to go on a Mission Trip. It was a tremendous honor to be elected to go. As you can imagine, I accepted the invitation.
Now I must say, I didn’t really know what to expect. I had heard many stories of the Kale Foreign Messengers seeing upwards of 40,000 people on mission trips in only one week’s time. Dr. Michael U. Kale began Specific UC TIC mission trips back in the late 70’s when he had an idea to combine an evangelistic mission trip with a chiropractic mission trip. Hence, chiropractic mission trips were born.
Before we even touched ground, I thought our plane was going to crash. The plane had to clear a mountain and then descend about 2,000 feet in about 4 seconds so it had enough time to slam on the brakes on the landing strip. At that very moment, I knew this was going to be an incredible journey.
From our very first day, we literally had hundreds of people lined up for hours on end. There were so many people, some people arrived at 3-4 am just so they could be seen. The best way I can possibly describe it is like walking into a stadium of about 40,000 people just screaming with all of their eyes on you. And just like ball players, the game was on. There were literally so many people, two lines were wrapped around the hospital about 4 people wide and 50 yards long ALL DAY LONG!!!!”
Brandon: What are the most interesting things you witnessed on a mission trip?
Dr. Tron: “We saw patients that had MS, vertigo, AIDS, Parkinson’s, blindness, etc. etc.
The patient that sticks out in my mind was a boy that at the age of 2, received an expired flu vaccine that turned him into a vegetable. For four years, his parents searched the medical profession for a cure. They obviously never found it. But when they began care with us, he was instructed to stay with us for about 4-6 hours per day where we would check the child every hour. He received several adjustments over the course of a few days. The parents said they saw more improvement with the child in just a few hours than they had in the years they spent in the medical profession. The child began to move, to communicate, and to actually hug his parents. He was never able to do that before.
I could tell many stories but that would take all day. What I can tell you is that we experienced some amazing results. In the end, our team served over 18,000 people between 12 doctors and two students. The trip was life changing for me.”
Brandon: Where are you practicing now and how is that going for you?
Dr. Tron: “Our office is in Summerville SC. It’s a blue collar good ole’ boy town of about 45,000 people. We have been here for 18 months and it has been an incredible experience. I would not have done anything different.
Our office is on fire right now. One morning last week we saw patients with: Alzheimer’s, dementia, diabetes, a prolapsed bladder, a stroke victim who just got out of her wheel chair last week for the first time since she was put in it 4 years ago, severe herniated discs, joint pain, cervical fusion, hyperthyroidism, migraines, severe foot pain, and more. And that was just that morning before lunch.
There are so many cases here that are getting well from Trigeminal Neuralgia to TMJ to Osteoporosis being reversed. We are having so much fun out here because so many people are not only getting better, but they are so excited they are talking about the care they have received, and they understand that when you remove the Nerve Interference off of the Brain Stem, the body will restore itself to Health.
By the end of the year we will be expanding into a bigger office and will bringing on another Specific ChiropracTOR to help assist in the phenomenal growth.”
Brandon: What can you say to people looking around on the internet for something that will relieve them of their misery but do not yet know about Upper Cervical Chiropractic?
Dr. Tron: “There is a specific cause to everyone’s problems, symptoms, and disease. Everyone throughout their life has been exposed to different kinds of stresses, be it physical, chemical, or emotional. These stresses cause devastating effects to people’s nerve systems. When the nerve system is stressed, especially the brain stem area which is the control center of the body, people WILL suffer with all sorts of problems and disease.
Specific Chiropractors target the CAUSE of people’s problems. We analyze the nerve system to see if there is a problem, we take specific x-rays to see where the nerve pressure is, and then we perform a safe effective adjustment that takes the pressure off the cord at the brain stem level. Once the pressure is removed, your body will begin to heal. This procedure is a Principle. It works and it is simple. Just as if you threw a pencil in the air, it will fall. Gravity WILL come into effect. Once the pressure is removed from the Brain Stem, your body will heal itself. It happens no other way.”
Brandon: What advice do you have for chiropractic students looking for something more than what they are taught in school?
Dr. Tron: “I would investigate everything. Check out Gonstead, check out Activator, check out all the things out there. If you are unhappy with what you find, you need to investigate what is taught outside those 4 walls. Delta Sigma Chi is the best place to learn about Chiropractic. It stands for what Chiropractic was based on. Once you learn those Chiropractic principles, you can build upon them.
I would begin reading the green books. Dr. Palmer knew more than anyone about ChiropracTIC. I suggest it would be a good idea to learn from THE man who built this profession. Some good books to start with would include: Our Masterpiece, The Subluxation Specific – the Adjustment Specific, Answers, Palmer’s Law of Life, or The Known Man.”
Brandon: What is your vision for the future of Upper Cervical Chiropractic?
Dr. Tron: “Specific ChiropracTORS must be educating their patients. If the education is there, then our presence will be felt and the sickest of the sick people will seek us out. But this great responsibility of educating lies on our shoulders.
Specific ChiropracTIC takes hard work, dedication, humility, perseverance, and respect. If an individual embodies those qualities and would like to pursue Specific ChiropracTIC, then the world will be very bright for this incredible profession.”
