Frank Ju is known among Upper Cervical Chiropractors because he provides software to streamline the upper cervical practice. I’ve talked to him several times by phone and it is easy to understand the passion he has for upper cervical.
I’m grateful Frank took time out of his busy schedule to answer some questions for The Atlas of Life.
Brandon: What is your association with the chiropractic profession?
Frank: “I am one of the senior partners at CoAction Software. We cater to the Specific Chiropractors in the industry, digitizing their clinic workflow with CoAction chiropractic practice management system (EMR, EHR, charting/billing system).”
Brandon: How did you discover Upper Cervical Chiropractic?
Frank: “I have been working in the regular Chiropractic market for the past 5 years and was under all kinds of chiropractic care for my personal health problem. I was not getting much in the way of results when some of my clients who were upper cervical doctors started to educate me. The more I heard and researched on my own, I start understanding and liking Upper Cervical Chiropractic. Once I got myself the Green Book Vol. XVIII and XXXIX, it was clear to me that Upper Cervical was the future. As a patient first, detailed X-Ray analysis and NOT adjusting on every visit made logical sense.”
Brandon: Can you tell us a little bit about CoAction Software and why it is so valuable to the Upper Cervical Chiropractor?
Frank: “Many are surprised to learn that there is such thing as ‘Upper Cervical Specific’ software. We cater to this market because of our belief that everyone should get Upper Cervical care as primary health care.
We have customized many digitized workflow towards what the Upper Cervical doctors need to run their clinic efficiently. We focus on the most common denominators of Upper Cervical workflow that is different from ‘normal’ chiropractic such as ability to see the X-Rays, listings, whether the patient was adjusted or not, certain leg checks, Titronics interface, etc. We believe if we assist the Upper Cervical clinics in getting more efficient on charting and billing, while staying compliant, we can assist the Upper Cervical doctors to see more patients, get more patients, educate more patients to grow the whole industry in general.”
Brandon: As an outsider looking in, what do you think is the biggest obstacle for an Upper Cervical Chiropractor to overcome?
Frank: “Objective data! Upper Cervical clinics can get many patients with subjective/anecdotal ‘We get results!’ stories, but there are so many out there branding Upper Cervical with regular chiropractic as far as the results are concerned.
In order for the Upper Cervical techniques to stand on their own, we will need a lot more research data proving how affective Upper Cervical techniques truly are. Now that the public is much more aware of the danger of drugs and benefits of wellness model, it is time to overflow the media/internet/social media with the TRUTH! It is a shame that the US population is barely getting the concept of true wellness.
However, today represents amazing opportunity for the Upper Cervical chiropractors to make a difference. As consistent water drops will drill a hole into a rock, constant validation through irrefutable, scientific, objective data will shift the general consensus and one day, everyone will get Upper Cervical care before popping their next pill.”
Brandon: Again, as an outsider, what advantage do you think Upper Cervical Chiropractic has within the chiropractic profession?
Frank: “Best outcome. I am sure many chiropractors deliver wonderful results to their patients, but I have not seen such high consistent, sustainable results as with the Upper Cervical techniques.
It might be a challenge to make sure all your patients fully understand the Upper Cervical approach to wellness, but many patients that gets results and understand the difference tend to become advocates. How many other health care sectors have so many advocates promoting the industry? Results speak louder than any advertisement on TV.
The biggest challenge for the future is to make sure there are many more quality Upper Cervical doctors in the entire world to make the Upper Cervical checkups as common as visiting dentists. One other huge advantage is that the Upper Cervical clinics are recession proof. I noticed some decrease of visits in some clinics but mostly increase of visits/new patients. Since Upper Cervical is not the ‘feel good/maintenance’ wellness but the absolute necessity for well educated patients, the patients tend to stick to the treatment plan (fixed spending vs. luxury spending).”
Brandon: Do you consider yourself an upper cervical advocate? If so, how?
Frank: “YES! CoAction is in constant relations with Upper Cervical associations, groups, schools, and advocates to participate in the Upper Cervical research, promotion, public education sector. Being a new father, I would love to see all parents take their child (and themselves) to a qualified Upper Cervical doctor in their neighborhood to make sure they have their ‘head on straight.’ I truly believe once everyone gets the benefit of ADIO, the society in general will improve.
For the more selfish reason of wanting my child to continuously get proper Upper Cervical care, I will do everything within my power to make sure this industry is advocated properly and effectively.”
Brandon: What is your vision for the future of Upper Cervical Chiropractic?
Frank: “I dream that one day, the general public will all know about Upper Cervical Chiropractic and get the benefit of ADIO. I envision much more objective data will be available to all, hence the patients will make the logical choices of being under the Upper Cervical care of their choices. Many Upper Cervical doctors will be empowered with the latest technology to work efficiently, thus save many lives & increase collections to become financially successful as many deserve to be.
I was one of the fortunate few who stumbled on to Upper Cervical care while millions like myself continue to suffer with pain. The future is where Upper Cervical touches not just millions… but BILLIONS to improve lives… Health wise at least!”
