An Update on More Blogging Changes at The Atlas of Life

by Brandon Harshe, DC on March 13, 2010

Today I’m taking the time to let you know about a few more changes (additions is probably a more appropriate term) at The Atlas of Life.

Blogging Frequency

First off, if you have read my e-book Done By Hand: The Blueprint to Chiropractic Blogging Success, you will probably remember when I said the following:

“Once in while, I will post something on Saturday, but not very often. One week, I posted Monday through Sunday. That turned out to be 12 straight days of posting. I felt very burned out and decided that was not a good thing for the blog. Keeping that schedule would be damaging to my blogging enthusiasm. You never want to feel like blogging is work. It should be a fun thing. If you feel like you are posting too frequently, and it is not fun anymore, drop your posting schedule down a bit. It is better to post less frequently than not at all. People will never get to learn about you or what you do if you are non-existent.”

Well, everyone changes their mind, and I’ve changed mine. There will now be posts seven days a week here at The Atlas of Life. Considering I can write all my posts for the week at one sitting and then schedule them out, it shouldn’t be too much to handle. When I wrote about my previous experience posting seven days a week, I did not do that all at once.

Saturdays will usually be random things that I used to post about on Fridays. More on that later.

Sundays will be a link-fest of sorts. During the course of the week, I will put together a list of good articles I think readers of this blog will enjoy. I will put those links up each Sunday. That way, I won’t have to wrack my brain and force out something sub-par, but you can still have something interesting to read if you desire.

New Member of The Atlas of Life

January Harshe, The Skinny on JanuaryLast, but definitely not least, is a new addition to The Atlas of Life blogging team, which previously consisted of… just me. My beautiful wife, January Harshe, will now be posting on Fridays.

January is currently finishing her science pre-reqs to get into chiropractic school, and will matriculate into the DC program in the fall.

She will also cover health related topics that relate to a chiropractic lifestyle… things that I wouldn’t usually cover. Our family marches to the beat of a different drummer and January fields questions all the time about how we do things.

Because of that, we decided to give her a forum to offer her two cents. I’ve written blog posts that have ruffled some feathers in the past, but I’m tame compared to January.

Enjoy the new changes!
