Old School Videos: B.J. Palmer Schooling the Students

by Brandon Harshe, DC on May 29, 2010

I was searching around YouTube for old videos of B.J. Palmer and came across this video. This was how Specific Upper Cervical Chiropractic used to be taught up at Palmer. It’s always fun to watch videos of how things used to be done.

Next up is a video of B.J. Palmer adjusting people using Knee Chest Upper Cervical Specific. This is how Upper Cervical Chiropractic was taught and done until B.J. Palmer developed the Palmer Specific technique, otherwise known as Hole-in-One (HIO).

Next up is a montage of footage of B.J. Palmer and students adjusting Specific Upper Cervical, with some of the footage of the previous two videos. It’s set to AC/DC’s “For Those About to Rock, We Salute You.” In real time, B.J. just looks fast. In slow motion, it looks like he’s throttling people. Notice at about the two minute mark, we see the slow motion of B.J. Palmer adjusting a guy using Knee Chest. You can see the guy’s back cave in and his feet kick up. Powerful!

I love the quote up at the end of this video:

“Conditions change. And our attitude towards them has changed. But principles remain the same.” Words of infinite wisdom from the master himself.

This last video is of B.J. as well, but it has the audio of him teaching us about the fundamental principles of the body. Does your finite education do such?

Enjoy!
