When I started The Atlas of Life Chiropractic Directory back in March, you will probably remember I was charging an initial fee, as well as a monthly fee.
After a month of only one listing, I decided the fees were too high and that I really just wanted to create a good chiropractic directory in conjunction with the blog.
With nearly six months of putting up nearly 60 listings on the directory at no charge, I am going back to creating a fee for a listing, but it will be much, much less than before. In fact, I will only charge a ONE-TIME fee of $35. That’s it. You pay once in the beginning and never again.
For those of you with existing directory listings, obviously you will not be charged… look at it as being grandfathered in.
The reason I am doing this is very simple, and it goes back to the simple law of supply and demand. I am VERY busy right now, so it takes a lot of really good time management to keep up with the posting schedule I currently maintain with The Atlas of Life. When adding in 5-8 directory submissions per week, that’s like creating another 5-8 blog posts. When this happens, blogging starts to feel like work, and that’s not what I want. I do The Atlas of Life because I love it and I feel there is an interest for it. But when it stops becoming a hobby, I have to change something ASAP. So that is why I am instilling the ONE-TIME fee of $35. If it is going to feel like work, then I think it’s fair to charge a small fee for my time.
So starting September 15th, 2010, The Atlas of Life Chiropractic Directory will be a ONE-TIME fee of $35.00 to create a listing. Existing listings WILL NOT be charged whatsoever.
Thanks to everyone who has submitted listings so far. I appreciate it and I look forward to adding more in the future.
