“The MD’s don’t seem to know what’s wrong with me…”

Gene had a pain in his side for 10 years, degeneration in his spine, shoulder pain, and vertigo. Ginger had sciatic pain for 15 years, had been taking hormones for the previous 30 years, and had frequent hot flashes. Then they came in to see me and get under Upper Cervical Chiropractic care. Read on to find out what happened in their own words.

“My husband Gene and I started going to Dr. Harshe about 2 months ago. Gene had been to the typical chiropractor several times throughout his life, but I never had been to one and was very skeptical about going. A friend had asked me to consider going to an Upper Cervical Chiropractor a year prior, but I just graciously said I don’t really have confidence in them.

She called after my husband had gotten sick and said I really wish you would go to Dr. Harshe in Carrollton. Her Upper Cervical Chiropractor recommended him, so I told her I would tell Gene. He said sure, let’s give it a try, the MD’s don’t seem to know what’s wrong with me.

We called for an appointment and I let my husband see him the first visit and then the second visit I agreed to see him. After hearing Dr. Harshe explain the adjustment he does, it made perfect sense to us. God created our bodies to heal themselves and we felt God could work through Dr. Harshe to help our bodies function as they were created.

Gene had a pain in his side that had hurt for 10 years and a pain in his hip that gave him lots of trouble. After his first adjustment, these pains were gone and he has been free of that pain since. Gene was also having some dizziness and the MD’s had told him that he had severe vertigo and that the casing around his spinal cord was calcifying and would probably close in time and recommended we see a surgical doctor for the spinal cord. He was having what seemed to be a pinched nerve.

With patience, the dizziness is gone and the pain in his shoulder has subsided. We did not see any other doctor for his health issues except for Dr. Harshe.

I have had trouble with a sciatic nerve for more than 15 years. After my first adjustment, my hip pain was gone and has not returned. I have taken hormones for more than thirty years and am now free of taking hormones and have no hot flashes.

We are looking forward to our bodies feeling better and better as we reach the point of being able to stay in adjustment for longer periods of time. I am looking forward to be able to get off my blood pressure meds in the very near future. We are thankful for Dr. Harshe and his practice of common sense chiropractic and for God working through him to help our bodies function as they were created to function.

“In late spring I went to the eye doctor, because I was having such horrible pain in my eye and severe dry eye. They gave me a diagnosis and said “There’s nothing we can do for you…” I fell apart! I was devastated. Then I called Dr. Harshe’s office, made an appointment and after my adjustment with him, my pain subsided… as I continued my care, the pain in my eye was eliminated and the dry eye is so much better! Meniere’s Disease

Dr. Kevin Broome – “When I was 14, my mother created and founded a Meniere’s disease support group in Charlotte, NC. Her intention was to allow me to see others were affected by this disease as well. Unfortunately, I don’t remember ever going to a meeting because I was too embarrassed.

Dr. Ray Drury had asked my mother to come and speak to the group based on results he was getting in his office. Reluctantly, my mother let him come and speak, thinking, “What can chiropractic do for Meniere’s?”

If I remember correctly, he had to come and speak twice to the group before my mom made me an appointment. Doc was the first doctor that told me what my problem was and where it was coming from. After my first correction, on the way home, my ears got quiet, my hearing returned to around 50%. I knew then that upper cervical was going to get me well.

At that time, I didn’t understand what re-tracing was, and boy did I ever re-trace. It took me a few months of healing before we saw any profound results but my senior year in high school I only missed 9 days of school whereas the year before I missed 94. I was also well enough to play for my high school’s state championship soccer team.

I owe my life as I know it to Doc and his ability to leave his comfort zone and spread the word of the healing potential of upper cervical.”

Head Injuries

Dr. Drew Hall – “My life prior to care was one of misery. I had a wrestling accident where I was dropped upside down on my head from two feet off the ground.

Being a boy, I thought it was just another notch on my belt. However that trauma was a trauma that radically changed my life. It led me down a road of suffering for two years.

At first it was nagging headaches, sleep disturbances, stiff neck, low back pain, lower energy. After a year’s time I just got worse. My sinuses swelled shut, headaches were constant, depression ensued, severe insomnia, nausea so bad I had to force myself to eat. It wasn’t a pretty scene. But I was young and figured it would eventually go away.

It wasn’t until I had thoughts of suicide that I told my parents.

A five month medical debacle ensued. These mental midgets figured it was all in my head. They were damn close… just about an inch below my head at my ATLAS. Instead of these doctors admitting that they had no answers I was told to see a psychiatrist.

Unfortunately each year in practice I see about 100 who have been led down the same road by our wonderful disease care system. Instead of realizing they have limitations to what they can do, they pass the buck off on sick suffering patients and tell them it is their fault! What a joke! These patients are custom tailored for Upper Cervical. These are the people I love to see in my office. The ones who have almost lost hope. This is what I live for.

It is our job as Upper Cervical doctors to make a precise correction to unlock that free flow of wisdom which does the healing. IT IS ABOUT AS SIMPLE AS THAT!

So to answer your question, Upper Cervical saved my life and it also allowed me to do something for the rest of my life which has purpose!”

Greg Buchanan – “My life is totally different to what it was prior to my head injury and finding out about upper cervical chiropractic. As you may know I was working in the IT industry and was extremely successful. I worked for Apple Computer as their Technical Director in Australia for close on 10 years and for Microsoft also as Technical Director about 7 years. I had a blossoming IT career (since age 18) and considered myself as a seasoned IT professional. I had a young family and my life revolved around my family and my job. I regularly visited the USA for conferences and meetings and made many wonderful friends in America, S.E. Asia and here in Australia as a result of my career.

Following my head injury and subsequent list of distressing symptoms my life as I knew it came tumbling down. I could no longer function effectively at work or at home and found myself irritated easily. Anyone who knew me prior to my head injury would know that this was not at all consistent with my character.

But you see, medical professionals were telling me that all of my symptoms were basically in my head and that at 43 years of age I was getting old and should expect such health problems! What the..?!?

The only people sympathetic to what was occurring needless to say were my close friends and family. Now anyone will tell you that I’m a strong willed person but these events started to shake that very foundation. My beliefs and faith in the medical system disintegrated in front of my eyes.

To find an upper cervical chiropractor, which I might add was by sheer chance, was the most exhilarating, enjoyable, beautiful, and comforting experience ever. To know that there are people out there who actually listen to you, understand what you are going through and can help you is in stark contrast to what I experienced with the “modern” medical system.

After my first ‘specific’ adjustment of the atlas vertebra (C1) by a qualified upper cervical chiropractor I broke down and cried. Apart from the adjustment being overwhelmingly gentle, relief for the majority of symptoms I was experiencing was immediate. Others disappeared over a slightly longer period. Once I found out about this and realized just how much sense it made I started sending patients to my upper cervical chiropractor, almost a 2 hour drive away.

Not surprisingly, as those like us close to upper cervical doctors have come to know, these patients were also getting relief and reversing conditions they’d had for years. Many children also responded magnificently. Seeing children benefit was the catalyst for my life changing decision. I resigned from Microsoft and my career in IT which had spanned decades and began researching, reading, and meeting with medical doctors & other professionals to find out more about the upper cervical phenomenon and of course upper cervical chiropractic. I am now a patient advocate of upper cervical chiropractic.”

Tic Douloureux aka Trigeminal Neuralgia

James Tomasi – “I believed the spasm’s were worse immediately following the first correction. A few hours later I had the first break in the pain for over 9 months. The breaks increased in length sporadically the rest of the day. The pain decreased in intensity following each correction. After 3 corrections, 11 days later, I was pain free.

The pain was gone for 13 months. It returned intermittently over the next 3 years as my neck curvature restored to normal. (My head was in front of my shoulders and I had developed a hump on my back the size of two hands.) Once my neck reassumed the proper alignment, the nerve no longer affected my face, and the pain only returned for a few days the few times I experienced trauma to the atlas area.

Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS)

Liz Stone – “It has SAVED my life! A few weeks after I returned home from the Evolution 2008, I faced a physical battle that threatened a large part of my life.

I was sitting in extremity adjusting lab one morning when a classmate set up for a superior distal clavicle adjustment taking the joint to tension. He never did a thrust on the joint but when he took the joint close to end range, I immediately lost function of my left arm. I could not feel my fingers or hand at all, my arm was tingling, it became severely weak and dysfunctional and within a few minutes my hand turned blue and was about 20 degrees colder to touch than my right hand.

I immediately sought care on campus, but quickly realized it was not going to be an easy fix. I spent the next 10 weeks on campus being treated 3-4 times a week ending up with worsening symptoms and a referral to a Neurologist from the campus clinic. But I suppose all my skeptic friends reading this will say “It’s only placebo… no RCTs will prove Chiropractic did anything, so it didn’t really work. It was all in their head.” Yeah, tell that to these parents.
